Chali, Hill Stations, Himachal Pradesh, Shimla, World's Largest Cricket Ground Chali

Hi guys, I’m going to share here about my Chali trip in Shimla on this summer vacation which is located at the altitude of 2,150 meters, Chail is mainly known as a paradise for honeymooners or couples. Its popularity shoots from the fact that it is an-all weather traveller endpoint. We were five colleague friends and planned to visit Chali, Shimla. We had decided to visit Chali because we had never visited Chali before. We went there by bus from Delhi which bus goes to direct Shimla from Delhi. After that we boarded another bus from Chali which runs from Shimla to Chali, It was around 40 km from Shimla and it took two hours to reach there. Moreover, we had booked “Hotel Chail Residency” in advance for one night and two days. Hotel was so beautiful and their services were remarkable.

Information about Chail, Himachal Pradesh

Chail was built as the summer capital – Being surrounded by thick cover of dense, majestic, soaring deodars; it is just 45 km away and most significantly from Shimla the capital of Himachal Pradesh, the hill of Chail, decidedly higher than the then British well-ordered Shimla. It had made a thought-provoking story. In 1891, Maharaja Bhupinder Singh, the Maharaja of Patiala, built Chail, when he was displaced from Shimla and decided to create his own summer capital, which was Chail.

Places to visit near Chali, Shimla

This picturesque hill station, located amidst scented forests of chir pine and titanic deodars, is built among three hills station. The palace on the Rajgarh Hill Station – The Residency Snow View that was occupied by the British residents on Pandhewa Hill and on the third existence the Sadh Tiba hill. Overlooking Satluj Valley, Shimla and Kasauli are also visible at night from here which is pretty well.

Indeed! Chail, a tiny village very close to Shimla city, was a piece of heaven. It was perfect surrounded by splendid deodar forests and also in close locality of Shimla. Moreover the hill of Chail at 2226 meters was somewhat higher than British-controlled Shimla, this definitely fulfilled the ego of the King and he started developing Chail according to his own needs. This small village also claims of the world’s highest cricket ground that had been built by the Maharaja himself who was great supporter of the game.

Nature is at her cheerful in Chail. The splendid snowcapped Shivalik peaks, the beautiful orchards and sylvan pine valleys enclosed by Deodar forests and crisp air. The River Sutlej which takes twists and turns and the valley beneath offers a breathtaking view form the hills of Chail. Chail is really enchanting and the views for travellers.

Chail is a small homestead where the nature has showered with all its beauties, where time stands still and romance is in air as I highly recommend for coupes or honeymooners who are newly married. Everybody must visit once in the whole life.

Location: Chali is very close to Shimla just like that nearly 45kms from Shimla, this minor town is suppressed between the Shivalik hills and is scarcely seven to eight hours distance from the countrywide capital of Delhi. If you are on Chali trip, I’d like to suggest you that visit virgin mountainous heaven as the virgin mountainous heaven are truly a honeymooner’s paradise.

So, the next day we all got up earlier in the morning and we were ready to go at 10pm. We came out from hotel and reached bus stop to go for the hill stations. It was about km form hotels so we reached soon. While we were going for the hill stations, we saw many tourist places like snow falls, shopping center and captured theme one by one. After one hours bus ride we reached around the Tiger hill station which is one of the best places in India we had visited so far with snow all around. As wind was blowing rapidly there as if we were thinking for the other world as one can figure out after seeing this image which is given below.

Finally, we spent two hours there and come back in hotels. At the last moment they share with me that I enjoyed beyond of description and we powerfully suggest this to any one who plans a tour to Darjeeling. We will absolutely recommend this hotel to my all friends who will be visiting there soon.

Located in northern India and also the capital city of Himachal Pradesh, Shimla is one of the most preferred tourist destinations. From snowy winters to pleasant summers and from lavish palaces to scared temples, Shimla has everything. The buildings are styled in colonial era architecture and the artwork reflects Shimla’s deep culture. Apart from Shimla’s alluring beauty, it’s also renowned for its revered educational and research institutions.

The best places to visit in Shimla is definitely Jakhu Hill, at a height of 8000 ft; one can capture the most spectacular view of the city below and the snowy Himalayas. On the hill there is also a historic temple of Lord Hanuman, which also happens to be the home of numerous fun loving monkeys waiting to be fed by visitors. Along with this temple there is a gigantic 108 foot statue of the Hindu deity, Lord Hanuman. This statue holds the record for being at the highest altitude in the world and is surely one of the main attractions.

Apart from Jakhu Hill, Shimla is packed with countless other tourist spots as well, such as Viceregal Lodge, Dorje Drag Monastery, Christ Church, The Mall, The Ridge, Lower Bazaar and still many more. All of these elements combined make Shimla the most attractive honeymoon place to visit in India.

Shimla boasts of a rich culture and liberal crowd that celebrates a variety of festivals. During the tourist season one can have the marvellous experience of witnessing the Shimla Summer Festival.

Shimla is well connected by air, road and train. The easiest way is to visit Shimla from Delhi or Kullu as there is a direct connection between their airports. National Highway 22 also links Shimla to Chandigarh.

As we all know that Shimla is one of the most picturesque places in the world and also known as megnet for tourist, so if you are on a tour of Himachal Pradesh than you must visit Shimla. Shimal attractions include its picturesque gorgeousness; the city is renowned for its lakes, hills, snowfalls and much more. Indeed, sightseeing of shimla tour can be quite an unforgettable experience for ever. In Himachal Pradesh, there are many places to visit with momorable places like Kullu, Manali, Dharamsala, Ranikhet, Dalhousie, Kangra, and more.

My friends have visited Shimla on month of February this year & they shared with me a lot of things about Shimla culture, environment, about snowfalls, hills and many things. They were gone from Delhi with six friends by a Volvo bus that who goes on a daily basis for Shimla or Himachal Pradesh from Delhi. It was a official tour for all of theme so all guys thought that we should not miss the great chance to visit Shimla or around Shimla destination. Wow! What was great fortunate for all of theme which I did not get ever?

Also, they shared – we captured lot of pics while we were going to Shimla by Volvo bus. In the meanwhile, I asked to one of my friend that how did you reserve Volvo bus & where you went to catch bus for the Shimla. After that he told me, we had booked online Volvo bus tickets along with holidays packages from one of travel portal company like Goibibo. They provided us not only Volvo bus tickets but also arranged cheap hotels for stay in Shimla. We reached there earlier morning and bathed first after we took breakfast with tea & some snakes. Thus, at 11AM, we were ready to move towards snowfalls as well as hills of Shimla. After half an hour we reached around snowfalls where we had seen unforgettable moment that was so beautiful we had ever seen so far. As gentle breeze was blowing, we did feel as thought we were in such heaven, like there is no need to go anywhere to get pradise. Everything is here & we are getting theme. The sun set moment was really memorable as you can watch below in the picture that what a beautiful place God has made it. Hearing of my friends story of Shimla tour, I couldn’t stop myself and I’m willing to visit there as soon as possible. Finally, I’ve decided to go to Shimla on 20th June, 2014, If anybody wants to accompany with me then visit my blog and fill up contact form with all details and let’s visit a not less than paradise place Shimla.

One more thing, they discussed with me that there are many motorcycles are available on let out for a days. So, anyone can hire easily & ride self while they are on trip.

There are many operators are available who offer sightseeing tours to Shimla.
